Michael F. Magee, Esq.

Lien Negotiation

If you are injured in an accident of some kind, you may be entitled to money from the person or company that injured you.  You may already know that.

What many people do not know, until they are in an accident, is that a whole bunch of people and companies, and even the government, all line up to try to take some of your money.

If you were in an accident and your health insurance or employer paid for some of your care, you may receive something called a subrogation notice.  This is a notice from a company or even the government asserting a right to be reimbursed out of your settlement or lawsuit money.

A lot of these people who come lining up with their hands out, trying to get your settlement money, have no right to anything at all.  Some of them have a right to be paid back in part, and a very few of them have a right to be fully reimbursed.

Mr. Magee has studied this area of the law very carefully, and is skilled in negotiating compromises with lien holders.  He knows which ones need to be paid and how to get them to take less.  He knows which ones do not have the right, and are really just trying to extort money from the injured person.  Mr. Magee works as hard to keep other people out of your money as he does to get you the money in the first place.
